چکیده
This work investigated the viability of a non-edible oil obtained from raphia africana in production biodiesel using novel heterogeneous catalyst derived turtle shells (Centrochelys sulcata). The study also proposed use acetone as co-solvent to enhance solubility reacting mixtures. were calcined at 900oC for 3hr, impregnated KOH improve its activity and then supported with activated carbon produced cassava peels increase surface area. influences concentration, loading, catalyst/carbon mix ratio concentration acetone/methanol on yield investigated. results revealed that maximum 93% was bio-oil 30% (w/w), loading 6.5%, solvent/methanol 0.4 weight 1.25. shell has been found possess very high catalytic converting saturated fatty acid content excellent fuel properties having low acids profile. Biodiesel Production from Palm Oil using Heterogeneous Base Catalyst
In this study, the transesterification of palm oil with methanol for biodiesel production was studied by using CaO–ZnO as a heterogeneous base catalyst prepared by incipient-wetness impregnation (IWI) and co-precipitation (CP) methods. The reaction parameters considered were molar ratio of methanol to oil, amount of catalyst, reaction temperature, and reaction time. The optimum conditions—15:1 ...
متن کاملwuthering heights and the concept of marality/a sociological study of the novel
to discuss my point, i have collected quite a number of articles, anthologies, and books about "wuthering heights" applying various ideas and theories to this fantastic story. hence, i have come to believe that gadamer and jauss are rightful when they claim that "the individaul human mind is the center and origin of all meaning," 3 that reading literature is a reader-oriented activity, that it ...

In the present study, Choline hydroxide (ChOH) as an ionic liquid catalyst was used for transesterification of soybean oil into biodiesel in a microchannel reactor. The effects of three variables i.e. reaction temperature, catalyst dosage and total flow rate on fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) content (wt. %) were optimized using Box–Behnken experimental design. In order to predict the FAME conte...
متن کاملRemoval of Impurities fromWaste Oil by Combination of Eggshell and Eggshell's active Carbon for Biodiesel Production
Waste oil is an inexpensive source for biodiesel production, but the high amount of impurities present (free fatty acids, oxidation products) impedes its practical application. The aim of this work is to assess the purification efficiency of the adsorption process with eggshell and its active carbon. Carbonization of eggshell was done at 200 ºC for 4 hours. For activation of the resultant carbo...
متن کاملProduction of biodiesel and lactic acid from rapeseed oil using sodium silicate as catalyst.
Biodiesel and lactic acid from rapeseed oil was produced using sodium silicate as catalyst. The transesterification in the presence of the catalyst proceeded with a maximum yield of 99.6% under optimized conditions [3% (w/w) sodium silicate, methanol/oil molar ratio 9/1, reaction time 60 min, reaction temperature 60°C, and stirring rate 250 rpm]. After six consecutive transesterification reacti...
